THE RESTAURANT

El Quetzal is one of the premier restaurants in Mindo, Ecuador. Located only a few blocks from the Parque Central de Mindo, yet located in a quiet area with a river view where you can see hummingbirds, toucans, parrots and quetzals.

We serve fresh foods harvested from our own organic gardens. Our menu selection includes authentic Ecuadorian dishes and typical American food options. Freshly made vegetarian options are available daily.

Fresh fish, chicken, beef and pork dishes, spaghetti, shrimp, ceviche and arroz con camaron are featured on our menu.

Delicious desserts often include brownies, mango cobbler, strawberry shortcake, pineapple cake and chocolate chip cookies. We also serve our ice cream in our own freshly made waffle cones.

Our own Ecuadorian coffee is roasted on site. Espresso, cappuccino, mochaccino and cafe pasado are all offered. Coffee is also available by the pound.

We serve water, juices, and ice made with water filtered by reverse osmosis and we wash all of the fruits and vegetables that we serve in filtered water. So here you can feel comfortable eating fresh salads and fruits.
